God is not looking for perfection. Jesus is the one who has saved us from our imperfections, our shortcomings and our failings. Just because we do not succeed in the first, second or third try, it doesn’t mean we are not going to succeed. A baby takes a step and falls over many times before it finally walks, but it doesn’t stop trying, why? Because the baby is not focusing it’s future on it’s past experience, it is focusing it’s future on what it sees it’s Dad and Mum doing, so too we should focus our future on what our Father in heaven is doing.
